My husband and I ate at Ohana's for our Valentine's Day this year, as some of you may know they serve extreme amounts of food here and we couldn't eat it all, while we were slowly fading into a food coma we just let the waiter pick everything up that we didn't eat and toss it...We are inviting my mom and dad to eat here in December as a christmas present, here's my question:
Can you ask for boxes if you don't finish what was already served to you? I don't mean asking for more skewers and then putting it in a box, just whatever was already on your plate that you couldn't finish...is this idea frowned upon at Ohana's ? Have any of you done that??
it just seems wastefull that they throw it away
Thanks in advance for your help

Although I think the answer would be no it never hurts to ask. Maybe your server would be willing to let you do it even if policy says no.

I haven't asked either but my assumption has always been at buffets you cannot bring home food, but this is Disney and if you had some food on your plate, I could see them allowing it. Like Aaron said, I would ask.

I'm sure this was the exception to the rule but we did get take out from Chef Mickey's once. My son was 2 1/2 at the time and fell asleep as soon as we sat down to eat. Missed everything (but we have some cute photos of him sleeping with the characters posing with him LOL) The CM was so nice and made up a whole to-go box of mac & cheese and other kid friendly stuff for him. Which was really nice especially considering we weren't even charged for him! 8 yrs later I still remember that night as a special moment for our family.
