Sometimes they change the cup and won't let you use the same one Ash, so check it out. :-)

And I've stayed at AS movies but I don't remember if the pool is heated or not. We'll have to see. :-)

While I will admit I would rather stay at the Contemporary Tower anyday, I dont believe the all star hotels are all that bad. My only real prob with All Star is that its a tad far away from everything (save animal kingdom and blizzard beach)

I know, but hey people use them all the time. This past trip when I stayed in Sports I saw someone use a Port Orleans cup.

Oh no! Not the mug debate here LOL I come here to escape the mug/room capacity/etc debates from the "other" disney board :D

For the record, we have mugs from several resorts and have never reused them at WDW.

I'll be staying at the All Stars on my next trip most likely so I'll get to compare them to Pop Century

Never bought a mug, don't drink that much pop to really care.
I thought All Star Music was alright, but I really wanted to stay at Movies instead.

The only all-star I've stayed at is Movies and its way too cramped for me and not my style at all. It's okay in my opinion if you HAVE to, but I could never imagine staying there for more then a night or two. And I never bought the cup. lol.

I agree. The only one we stayed at was the All Star Sports. It was me, DH and our son who was about 2 1/2 at the time. We were constantly tripping over each other. The "boys" loved the sports atmosphere, but I like more scenery and landscaping. That was actually a trip from hell for us but the resort was ok and we had no problems. LOL It would be good for a quick and cheap weekend trip for us.

Yeah. My parents and I stayed there so just the three of us when we had to go check up on the building for the Celebration house, so we only stayed there for about 3 nights, but we had just sold our DVC membership to build the house, so I was used to staying in DVC units, so that could have been something to do with it.

Sorry to ask this question then . . .

We have mugs from several Resorts (get new ones each time) - but any bright ideas what to use them for back home?

I use them all the time for work, taking hot tea or hot chooclate in the winter time, or ice tea, lemonade in the summer time :P then it reminds me of a fun trip and people see it and get jealous. :P

If I had one I would probably just keep it as a souvenier.
We stayed at All Star Music when we went the first time, my parents, brother, and I and I don't think it was really all that crowded. We spent little to no time in the room anyways. That's why I think it's so crazy to spend big bucks on better resorts. I realize it's bigger and better but unless you lounge around the resort all day there really is no point to it. In my opinion.
