This rumor comes from Sceamscape so don't bet the farm on this:

Fantasmic Rehab - Rumor - (6/20/03) Insiders report that Fantasmic is reported to go down sometime after the Summer season for a rehab that may last up to three months.

We're being told to ignore it, and if a guest approaches us with it to tell them it's a rumor.

Besides, it's our 5 year anniversary this October, why close it down then? Unless, if it did happen, they were sure that it would be back open by October. But it's still a rumor. I'll let you know if/when we're told otherwise ;)

Jillian, would you say that if Fantasmic did close, that Sorcery in the Sky would replace it for the duration of the rehab?

Yes, if Fantasmic were to close, we would do Sorcery in the Sky, or another fireworks show, in it's place.

Great Job on 100 posts Jillian!!! I just keep working and eventually will get there!!! Also I dont think Fantasmic will go down for rehab this year, but if so the fireworks show would be great!!! I really used to enjoy Sorcery in the Sky and the giant Mickey, do you know where the giant Mickey is??? Is it just deflated somewhere or what???

Jillian keeps it in the passenger seat of her car so she can use the carpool lane ;)

More rumors of a Fantasmic rehab(which we've heard) but also of RnR!

Quote

I have started to see rumblings of a 1 to 2 week rehab of the RnRRC in mid September and that Fantasmic will close after the Summer season for a major rehab.

hrm, I will check on the Coaster one tonight.

The only thing I've seen/heard is there is a possiblity of a brake system replacement, for like 8 days in Sept, and it's just a possiblity now.

Hello everyone. Thought I'd help squash a false rumor. I work on the tech crew for Fantasmic and I have to tell you that, if we are closing for even 1 day in Sept (let alone the entire month), nobody has bothered to tell the people working there. I suppose it is possible that we might have a couple of dark days here and there later this year but the Sept thing simply isn't true.

Hope that helps.

Adding fuel to the fire of a Fantasmic! rehab in September is the fact the Disney website lists no Fantasmic! times.
