Ok- I just read about a 2 WDW Bus accident. This coming on the heels of the Monorail incident, makes WDW not look too safe.
Now, is the reason that I, up here in VA, am hearing about a bus accident at WDW is becuase of hightened coverage after the monorail (ie. They happen on occasion) or is this another "rare event" that may signal Disney needs to get it's act together?

PS. After spending some quality time @ Celebration Hospital, I feel for these people and I hope everyone comes out of this ok.

This is two unreleated incidents that just so happened to happen around the same time. News Media attacks anything at WDW as soon as it happens. I think this would only scare off the most timid of WDW guests. 12 people were brought to the hospital, but i am unsure of any with serious injuries. WDW still is the safest place on Earth, and is even more show checking things now

245-430 pm:

Two Disney transportation buses were merging from two lanes to one in the narrow lanes by the Contemporary. Driver A was merging, hit the breaks for some unknown reason and Driver B ran into him. Driver B I believe was the one that was ticketed for careless driving. 12 people were taken to the hospital with very minor injuries.

Case closed. No need to turn this into more than what it was. A coincidence and careless behavior on Driver B's part.
Professionals admit to the problem. Alcoholics claim they have no problem.

The reason for my post was to find out from "the people in the know" if these fender benders are somewhat common thus not indicating an underlying problem like overworking the remaining CMs. (There was discussion that the monorail capt. in the last incident had been working a good number 12-14 hrs shifts.)

I've added a poll to see where we all fall.

These are two unrelated incidents and I'd venture to say WDW is one of the safest places out there. I have no fear when using their transportation at all (probably safer than driving yourself).

Bus bumps happen all the time in NYC, and NO mention is ever made of them.
