I know this question is coming out of nowhere but I thought I'd give it a shot. What are your favorite books that you remember loving or still love from your childhood? I'll start us off by saying Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak and The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein are my favorite books from my childhood. Actually its kinda strange that I can still enjoy the books today just as much as back then. The Giving Tree is especially still enjoyable because its pretty thought provoking even though its technically a children's book.

before I even read the whole thing "Wild Things" came to mind. Many many years ago I had that wallpaper on one wall in my bedroom.
I did have a good handful of read along books by Disney on those mini records (33 1/3 I believe) . Most of the famous stories were on them, Cinderella, Snow White, etc.

I was afraid of the Wild Things for quite a bit.
My fave book as a kid was Goodnight Moon

Its not narrowed down to one specific book but I was always a big fan of the Berenstain Bears series.

I loved The Giving Tree. After reading it like 10 times, I could recite the entire book cover to cover to my mom.
Oooh, and Charlotte's Web I loved too.
I recently gave my sister my copy of The Giving Tree and she's read it about 4 times now.
