I can't use the words I want to because Matt would ban me from the site.

But um, what the heck is this?

I agree Indy, what the &%*@??? I was so hopeful that the new parade would be...well....NEW. If you stand in the wrong place, all you get to see is a float whiz by and then dancer after dancer all dressed alike. At least they could dress each segment's dancers differently to coordinate with the float they're near ...or something! The past 10 years or so I've been so unimpressed with MK's parades (I do really like Studios BPB) and their tshirts.... I sooo want to buy a few new WDW T's but just find the old ones so much more creative and interesting than anything they've done in the past few years.

Luckily though it's not the new new one we're getting soon in a few months. Hopefully that will be better.

Because honestly, despite the name changes, haven't we seen this since 2001?

It seems to me like MK has simply rethemed the same parade I saw there back in 2006, which seemed to be the same general float with new characters and character specific decoration.

Is the new parade you're referring to the Parade of Dreams from Disneyland? It's now been retired from Disneyland, but I've seen some reports saying that it will not be moving to Florida.

This Parade is the same as the lasts but with less characters. Same floats, more dancers and less characters. I really enjoyed the characters walking and dancing in the streets, especially when they would come up the shake hands with people. Who cares about the dancers, we came for the characters. What a let down.

Agreed with all of the above, we went to MK yesterday to check this out...unimpressed, they took away the characters that walked around and replaced them with dancers, and the the parade stops, for what?!?!?! they dance to the song from the celebrate promotions and that's it, they don't get kids to join in or anything. I don't know why they stop...I talked to several CM friends and none of them liked it either...

I was thinking the same thing. Why do they stop. When I watched the video I thought they were going to bring people into it, but they didn't. That may have been the only thing that could have saved it, if they included the crowd. And depending on where you sit, it could be a drag if when it stops you only see dancers in front of you :D

Well the official new parade debuting soon (That block party wanna be one) will have show stops, Very much like Remember the Magic Parade, for the first time since Remember the Magic. So my guess was they threw in show stops simply to get the performers used to stops again.

All of the characters that were walking are gone, except Alice and the Mad Hatter were on the float with Peter Pan and Wendy. And the chimney sweep was on the float with Mary Poppins. From watching the video that they way it looked to me.

It's too bad you're not getting Parade of Dreams--I thought it was one of the nicer ones, although it also had parade stops, about which I am generally "anti-." The floats were good.

The individual float detail on Parade of Dreams was phenomenal. I thought the detail in the Parade of Dreams put the MK's parade to shame.

saw the new parade today and i agree that it is horrible. At least now for a while there is no need to waste my time watching the parade. Hopefully the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party that is replacing the family fun day parade will be more entertaining.

Frankly, I'm not sure anything could be less entertaining.... This parade is downright BORING!
