Our source also informs us of an earlier and much shorter refurb, also at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, for Toy Story Mania which is scheduled to close on August 15 and re-open on September 5.

I've heard one is coming some time, and that sounds about right, but i can't guarantee it, but what i can say was the original ideas had it for April which were quickly changed, so be happy that it got pushed back lol

The big news, though, is that for the first time Imagineering is going to take advantage of the ability to swap out computer programs and change one of the midway games at Toy Story Midway Mania. We're hearing that—in conjunction with the upcoming Toy Story 3 (coming to theaters on June 18)—the balloon pop game will be changed from Bo Peep and her sheep to Rex and Trixie (the triceratops from the new movie), and will feature a jungle/volcano theme. There is reportedly also some additional scoring information that will be presented to you at the conclusion of the game.
Because the changes to Toy Story Midway Mania only involve changing out computer programs, it is expected that the modifications will be made overnight, and the attraction will simply close one day with the old game and reopen the next day with the new game. That will be very impressive, and will likely indicate that Imagineering will similarly be able to implement seasonal overlays for the attraction overnight.
It's not certain whether those changes will appear at the version of Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney's California Adventure, but it would be a reasonable assumption.

Well why that seems possible, there are a few things that need touch up there, so i would expect it to be down at least a week, not just a day

This one i'm being told is just simply standard refurb, nothing fancy, just need a little bit of work

Odd. The new games have already been added and that's way too early for a Christmas re-theming. Why not just wait until November and do a Christmas theme?
I suspect this is your run-of-the-mill general maintenance and touch up rehab, as opposed to one where changes to the attraction are made.

I read on Stitch Kingdom that the rehab will be adding automatic gates to the exit of the ride (similar to the automated gates at the ride entrance)
