Beginning May 23 and running until August 14th, Pleasure Island will be testing out operations as an un-gated area. In other words, anyone will be able to walk around Pleasure Island, including the outside of the clubs.

To enter any of the clubs, you will need Pleasure Island admission. The PI Ticket will grant you admission to all clubs.

Persons under 18 must be accompanied by a person 21 years of age or older and who has an acceptable form of identification in order to enter the clubs. Additional age restrictions may apply.

During a test, from May 23-Aug. 14, Pleasure Island will operate as an un-gated area, allowing Guests to walk freely through the island during regular evening operating hours.

The test doesn't affect the price of Pleasure Island ticket media, and Guests must purchase an admission ticket prior to entering the nightclubs. Admission tickets will grant entry to all Pleasure Island clubs.

Crews will install turnstiles at each individual nightclub entrance. Guests with ticket media that includes Pleasure Island will be able to present their tickets and get wristbands at the entrance of any nightclub.

Meh.... I like PI better just by paying at the front and getting your ID checked at the entrance.

I still like it the old way. There have been a few ups and downs to the new way.

The general idea to get people, who weren't planning on going to the clubs, to make an impulse purchase and go in, or at least that's how I percieve it.

Well, there are also merchandise shops and food locations not found anywhere else on property and this give the oppertunity to be able to go there and shop/eat at night without having to pay the cover charge. You can do it during the day time, but to me PI has a totallly different feeling at night :P

Yet another financial reason for what they did :)

They do still have a few issues to work out but I think it will stay in the future.
