Okay folks, I've broken down. Uber-cheap airfare, people I want to meet, total boredom and an overwhealming desire to return to WDW have caused me to want to plan a trip! So help me out by getting me the best deal down there because yo soy very poor :content:

Here are the details....

[glow=red:d56421f9c8]Budget[/glow:d56421f9c8]: $400!
Date(s): TBA (Preferably a long weekend in October, Thurs-Sun, I'm thinking weekend before Halloween)
Airfare: JetBlue $118
Hotel: TBA
Disney Tix: I have one day left on an old hopper, but still need another day or two.
Food: $100 - Prisoners on a 17th century desert island will eat better than me, but hey, it's the cost of going down  If my George Foreman can't grill it, I won't eat it.
Total Left: $182

Allright, it's up to you all of you to give me ideas on how I can get down! Good luck!

*GASP You're coming down?!?! *jumps up and down* Yay!

My trip to see him this NY visit was scrapped b/c of the stupid blackout.

Anywho, I can scout out some uber-cheap (I've been your friend for too long, buddy.) but insanely-nice hotels for you. I can talk to my aunt and since I'll have my vacation time in Sept., I can prolly go up and stay w/ her and get you (and me  ) into WDW for FREE. She can prolly get you a room in at least a Mod. resort on property for a good price too.

What do you think?

Coinsidentally, that's my birthday weekend you're talking about  Matt, like I said, free tickets, I have plenty, and I can get 50% off the rooms. Let me know what you need.

Interesting side note, after posting this thread earlier in the day, Leslie called me sounding perhaps the nicest she's ever sounded to me....ever  I'm happy, don't get me wrong, but a little...scared  ;)

Well between the tickets and hotel is what I have to conquer. I need 3 nights, and based on the fact that free passes are being thrown at me :content: I guess I'm looking to stay somewhere fairly nice(and cheap). What do, dare I say it, onsite hotels go for around October?

Value's are running $75-125
Moderate's at $130-450
Deluxe's at $200-1100 (Don't know what Deluxe has $200 or for what dates though)

doing a search got:
All Star Music - 3 nights (23-26 is what I did) for $366.
Caribbean Beach - 3 nights (23-26 again) for $482.
Boardwalk- 3 nights (23-26 again) for $1100.

Those are regular rates too, so I could do half that.

Ohhh! Somebody is in the doghouse now :P I would stick with the ASMv, because how much time are you really going to be in your room anyway? I will be there in less than a month, and I will report back which section I was in and how I enjoyed it. Good luck with the trip!

Looks like you might be staying onsite. Half price at the All-Stars is $183. Tix are no cost for ya. You are only a dollar over budget but I am sure you can save that much between now and then (and hopefully a little more).

Hmmm now I might have to plan a trip around that time too....

True, but the JetBlue price doesn't include taxes and such, just the posted fare. And I'm not sure if Jillian's prices include tax as well :frownblue:

Yes the price did include tax. The preferred room view (pool view) is 366 (half 183) the Standard is 333 (half 165). Which All-Star did you want to stay at?
Music they only have the preferred room
Sports they only have standard
Movies has both available right now

and if you need pictures to tempt you I can do that.

You really found JetBlue tickets for $118? Because if you did, those reservations will need to be made very soon to keep that fare. If not, you could always drive to BWI and get a good fare from Southwest Airlines.

JetBlue is running a sale, I posted it a few weeks ago somewhere, and the price is good till Aug 27, I believe.

I think it's better I don't see pictures :) I've heard Movies is the best of the three and if those prices do include tax then I suppose it is feasible to stay on site, although every part of me is yelling against it

My fav is AS Movies. Have stayed at Music more this year (better Passholder rates because no one wants to stay there for some reason)

Remember when you stay on site that transportation is FREE! If you stayed off site you would have to get to the parks somehow... that may cost extra and you will loose time in the parks. Sat is early day for MGM if you are staying at the resorts.

Speaking of transportation....I still need to get to/from airport. In the past I've taken car service, but that usually costs like $80 or so :frownblue: Any ideas?

I have heard that Town Car service is a surprisingly cheap way to get to and from MCO. I will pull up some research for you, and let you know as soon as I find what I posted on Talk Disney a few weeks ago.
