The only part that seems questionable to me is the Storybook Circus. We all knew that Pixie Hallow's planned delay meant it was one of the first projects to be cut if there was a scheduling or financial situation. Now that the decision is made to preserve the Toon Town Fair tents, I have to wonder if this area will have that "out of the box" feel that Animal Kingdom's DinoLand USA. Aside from a possible meet & greet area, the rest of the land looks like midway games. Any news on what will be back there?

I agree....I expect it to be pretty tame. It will need to accommodate children as well. If they make it too intense it kind of goes against the grain of Fantasyland.

I think that Crushes Coaster in DLP is a good starting point (though likely a far different coaster eperience). The ride starts out very slow, you have a few scenes with nemo and friends... you go through the jellyfish swarm and then you head up a tunnel in the submarine and get launched past Bruce, into the coaser portion.
The coaster on that ride is an intense spinning dark coaster. Likely not what they will use here... but I can see you going through the mine... seeing a few scenes and then racing past the witch. They are not going to throw away all of the snow white animatronics I can tell you that!

I think you may be right. I saw that rendering and the ride seems tame in that depiction. Although it is described as a coaster and they note new technology that allows the cars to move with the track increasing the thrills
and then there is the concept art that does show some coaster elements, Here is a thread at wdw magic that zooms in
