StarWars.com also has this posted up. The reboot no doubt coincides with Weekend 1 of Star Wars Weekends. It should be very exciting and a good reason to book a trip. ;)

Yay! I'll get to experience Star Tours 2.0 in July!

Oh wait, the FastPass times may be equivalent to TSM, as in inaccessible. BOO! :P

I'll definitely brave the line for this one. :) Hoping the queue will have enough to keep me entertained during the wait time.

Well maybe I'll get my own Starspeeder then. Woot!

I see myself riding it, exiting, getting back on, riding it, exiting... Times that pattern by like 50, and there you have my entire Star Wars Weekend touring plan.

What is usually the time frame for soft openings for an attraction like this? I remember Everest opening for previews a few months before, but maybe that was a different situation. Would March be a stretch?

It's anyone's guess really. Could be up to a month before May 20 but hard to say.

If you are in the Park in April stop by guest services and get a mickey monitor, should have the annual passholder info in it by then I would guess. They usually do a passholder preview and a cast member preview...We will just have to keep our eyes and ears open...

So the official opening of Star Tours 2.0 being less than 3 months away I think it's fair to assume that the exterior will not have any major changes, nothing has been done to it, and no construction wall has popped up yet. How does everyone feel about that?

I like the exterior. While it could use a bit of freshening up, I think keeping it in the original format is fine.

My guess is they are working from the inside out. There's still enough time to re-do some of the outside and I do expect to see some visual changes from outside the attraction but I'm okay with it not being a total overhaul of the ride exterior.

Considering what they went through a few years ago to make room for the stage, I wouldn't expect to see much change outside.

Pet peeve, this is a LA Times article that the Sentinel re-ran. Can we please have original content? One more reason newspapers are dead.

End rant
