I always thought it was strange that you pay top dollar to stay at the deluxe resorts yet free in-room Wi-Fi , which has been a staple at other hotels for a while now, was not included in the perks. Well it looks like that will no longer be an issue. As of October 14, 11 select Disney resorts will be offering free Wi-Fi to their guest (Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club, Yacht Club, BoardWalk Resort, Contemporary Resort, Coronado Springs, Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Resort, Disney’s Old Key West Resort, Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa).

It's not very good, unfortunately. I tried it out at Bay lake Tower and was able to connect but not actually get the connection to do anything. I know Len Testa also reported it being quite flaky

Great news about the wifi and hopefully they'll figure out how to make it work.

That's a shame, but hopefully they are working on getting all the kinks out and it will be fully operational soon.

I cant see Disney leaving it in shabby condition. Well... now adays it is harder to predict their motives... but I still think guest experience counts for somethign over there!

I know it has sometimes been a hastle to use the wired internet connections at DVC resorts because some of then have the internet port conenction in the master bedroom so others staying in the 2 Br or Grand Villa have to either intrude into the master BR to use the internet or bring a looooong cable to wind out of the master into the shared areas. I hope they fix the wireless connection. Wired connections just seem so outdated in a high end hotel setting.
