Frequently Asked Questions
Why are you introducing this new interactive menu?
This new tool is being introduced to enhance the dining experience for Guests with special dietary needs and lifestyle preferences. The application has been designed to provide our Guests with visibility to personalize menu choices as well as information to better guide decisions.
I prefer working directly with the chef/I’m not comfortable with technology/I would rather not use the device.
I completely understand and that is absolutely okay. Not to worry, a chef will visit your table to discuss the menu, your preferences, and your special dietary needs. This is a standard part of our practices here at the Walt Disney World Resort and continues to be offered to our Guests.
I don’t have an allergy, but I want to use the device.
Based on availability of devices, Cast Members may provide demonstrations and provide the Guest with an opportunity to experience the device. If no devices are available, please let Guest know that all devices are currently being utilized by Guests with special dietary needs. If one becomes available while they are still waiting to be seated, you will be happy to let them experience the device.
Are you replacing people with technology? I prefer the personalized service.
The Walt Disney Company continues to explore new ways to further enhance our Guest experience and deliver increased levels of service. This tool is being offered as an enhancement to the current process. It is available in addition to, not in replace of, the personalized care that our culinary team provides.
Is this tool safe? How do I know that my meal will be prepared in accordance with my special dietary needs?
This tool is being provided as an enhancement to the current process. It is available in addition to, not in replace of, the personalized care that our culinary team provides. Once you have an opportunity to browse the menu, a chef will visit your table to discuss the menu, your selections, and your special dietary needs.

Having a food allergy (shellfish) I always am a little embarrassed when the chef comes out, especially at a breakfast where no seafood is served. I'll be interested to try this, to see if it takes some of the "heat" off.
