from this site:
In front of the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, there is a well with a rope in it that says "Do --- pull!"pull the rope for a surprise.

OK the last few times I have pulled this rope nothing has happened.... it moved maybe 6 inches when I pulled it. What is it supposed to do?

It has a history of not working from time to time, along with the singing in the rain umbrella (which didn't work for me on my last trip)

Is it supposed to do the same thing as the rope in the queue at Indy in DL?

Not sure. You can hear the guys in the hole talking. Sometimes they yell at you.

The Singing In the Rain umbrella NEVER works for you, Matt.
Remember? It shuts down when it sees you coming. ;)

Disneyland's Indy also has a ceiling drop with spikes when you move a piece of bamboo.

Pull the rope and you might here,
"Stop mucking about up there!"

Yea, but I gotta be careful. Too many rope pulls and I can find myself spent for the entire day. Gotta pace myself.
