Welcome guest blogger Jess Furtado with a review of Dine with an Imagineer at the Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant!
If you’ve ever wanted to learn about what goes on back stage at Walt Disney World, this is one way to do it! Dine with an Imagineer is an unique experience where you can have a 4-course lunch at one of the best restaurants on property, private time with an Imagineer, and a souvenir! Don’t worry; you’ll be able to avoid the screaming kids here because no guests under the age of 10 are allowed. Even the price is reasonable at $60 a person, so you cannot go wrong for the experience and the food! Be forewarned though, Disney will not tell you who or what kind of Imagineer will be there on any given day; it’s a surprise!
Mr Spell has been on Pixar Place since the street opened back in 2008 but he hasn't always been working but as of last week, Mr Spell was functioning once again the way Imagineers intended.
Disney formally announced today that the Comedy Warehouse shows will return to Disney's Hollywood Studios starting December 23 through January 3rd.
The former Pleasue Island show will be performed at the Premier Theater. Disney brought back the Comedy Warehouse shows last year for the first time to great reviews from fans and critics alike. Last year the show was performed in the ABC Sound Studio but this year will feature a much larger venue to accommodate even more guests.
Comedy Warehouse is family-friendly improvisational comedy and was a big hit before Pleasure Island closed down.
Samsonite luggage announced today that it has entered into a multi-year agreement with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts to bring its American Tourister luggage to Disney's theme parks.
The agreement will specifically mean that American Tourister will receive branding locations inside Disney's Hollywood Studios. There were no further specifics as to what exactly that means, but one can assume guests will soon find American Tourister luggage on sale in the Studios.
“We are very excited to enter into an alliance with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts,” said Lynne Berard, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Samsonite. “Our goal is that Disney vacation goers will pack all of their Disney memories in American Tourister luggage for many...
Let's take a trip in our time machines and look back at what the Disney-MGM Studios were like back in 1993. These look backs are always interesting for nostalgia and to also see the differences in the park then compared to today.
The cover of the park map features the Genie from Aladdin, which has opened in 1992 and was a popular hit. More surprising to me is that all four of the attractions highlighted on the cover are all still operating today in Disney's Hollywood Studios (although it is a different version of Star Tours).
We are hearing rumors that Disney Junior - Live on Stage could recieve it's next update in January 2013.
Reportedly, Disney Junior will close in January and replace the Little Einsteins and Handy Manny segments with Doc McStuffins and Sophia the First.
This rumor isn't that far-fetched considering the show has been updated a number of times in the past to reflect what television shows are still actively being shown on the air. The last update occurred in March 2011.
The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow at Disney's Hollywood Studios recently opened up for previews prior to its official grand opening on December 6th. Today, we have a fun look at how the impressive wall mural outside the attraction was painted.
The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow officially opens on December 6, 2012 and offers an immersive tour through the Pirates of the Caribbean films. You can also check out our full review of this new attraction.

Tonight the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights will begin at Disney's Hollywood Studios and if you want to see everything this holiday event has to offer, take advantage of these important tips.
Osborne Lights Basics
Disney advertises that the Osborne Lights turn on "at dusk". That's 6pm to the rest of the world.
The lights are on throughout the event but once every 20 minutes, a choreographed music sequence will occur where the lights turn on and off in coordination with the music that is playing. It is a must see and there are eight songs that the lights can dance to this year.
"Snow" will fall on the Streets of America during the event. It's really soap bubbles but the effect works....
Disney has announced that the brand new Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow Experience will open at Disney's Hollywood Studios on December 6, 2012.
Disney describes this new walk-through attraction as, "Aspiring pirates will experience the story of Captain Jack Sparrow like never before to discover if they have what it takes to join his jolly crew. State-of-the-art technology brings the swashbuckling world of Captain Jack, from an eerie treasure cove to an epic ship-to-ship battle. "
We're also hearing that soft openings of the new attraction will begin in late November. A date we've heard tossed around is November 16th, but we wouldn't bet on it quite yet.
