Phineas and Ferb, the stars of the Disney Channel hit TV show, are coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios in a character meet-n-greet starting in May.

The duo will meet guests near the exit of Muppet Vision 3D, near the current location for the Cars character meet-n-greet.  The exact start date in May is unknown at this time, but it will begin in May 2011.

Given the fact that chefs, recipes and menus change quite often around Walt Disney World, it's important for me to keep track of the state of the food options found in Disney's Hollywood Studios by trying the food as often as I can.  This past weekend I had lunch at Studio Catering Co with Henry Work and Scott Barrett.

I hadn't really eaten at Studios Catering Co since they changed the menu last year and at that time, I enjoyed the buffalo chicken sandwich so the question was is the chicken sandwich still good and what else on the menu is tasty.  Henry and Scott decided to try the buffalo chicken sandwich and I opted for the Greek salad.

There are some new crates on the Streets of America near Studio Catering Co and Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show but the bigger mystery may be what they mean.

  • Despite it being a Fantasmic! night, crowds seemed lower than usual, probably because of the lingering chance of rain. Word to the wise is if you're at Walt Disney World on a day when it's misty or sprinkling, grab your poncho and go to the parks to take advantage of lower waits for attractions.
  • I don't know why, but the ATM machine on the back of Keystone Clothiers is covered up for refurbishment work at least once a year.  I don't know why it needs to be fixed so often but it does and it's a mystery to me.
  • In addition to the Brazillian tour groups that...

It's time once again to jump around the Internets and summarize what happened in Disney's Hollywood Studios news this week!

News this week

The big news is dates for Star Wars Weekends 2011 have been announced!  Not much of a surprise but the speculation can end and we can start booking our trips.

There's been lots of criticism of the Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun! parade and now we're hearing Disney may be attempting to improve the parade somewhat.  Good luck.
