Yesterday we announced that the Phineas and Ferb meet-n-greet was being pushed back to May 29 and today we're getting word from Disney that the new meet-n-greet for Winnie the Pooh inside the Magic of Disney Animation has also had its opening pushed back.
The Winnie the Pooh meet area, which replaces the Lotso-Huggin-Bear meet area, was scheduled to open May 16. No new date has been named by Disney, they've simply said, "Pooh’s new meet and greet experience at The Magic of Disney Animation attraction also has been pushed back".
So the homemade countdown calendar on my fridge says we have 3 days left until our Disney World vacation! Even though we try to go 2-3 times per year, we get just as excited each trip! The thrill of entering the World never gets old!
In keeping with the WDW preparation posts leading up to my trip, I chose to write today's topic about some ways to save money when travelling with children to Disney World. As we always stay on-site, my posts may be somewhat geared to those staying on Disney property.
A general money saving tip for the whole family is to eat at least breakfast in the hotel room. While this may seem like an obvious principle, many people are surprised to see just how much they can fit into the resort fridge. Had they known about the space, they could have planned their meals a little differently. I'm not...
Many of our readers are excited for the new Phineas and Ferb meet-n-greet to open on May 16 at Disney's Hollywood Studios but we're hearing more and more rumors swirling that an opening on May 16 could be in doubt.
Based on the rumors we've heard, the May 16th opening could be in jeopardy. We had heard from sources that the scheduled date of May 16 was going to be tight and now our friends at MousePlanet are reporting that they are hearing the same thing.
We're hearing rumors of a possible construction-related delay of a few days for the Phineas & Ferb meet and greet, though the...
Orlando Magic star player Dwight Howard visited Disney's Hollywood Studios last week and took a moment to pose for a photo in front of the brand new Star Tours 2 attraction with an equally tall guy, Chewbacca!
Since my Disney World trip is in only 8 days (yay!), I thought I'd spend the next few posts until then blogging about how I prepare for my WDW trips! I'm hoping this will be helpful to first-time WDW visitors, and this will also be a nice way for me to extend my excitement for our trip!
I know many people travelling to the happiest place on earth with young children are very overwhelmed by what to bring to help their children enjoy this highly stimulating experience, but yet cope with an incredibly different environment and routine than what they're used to. Because of this, I thought I'd dedicate this post to sharing tips for travelling to, and experiencing the Studios (or any other of the Disney Parks) with babies and toddlers. This should come as no surprise - I'm sure you've...
Our join collaboration with TouringPlans.com, StarToursLive.com, is in full swing of things as we're gearing up for possible soft openings at Star Tours 2. Since Tuesday, we've had a StarTours2Live.com staff member in Disney's Hollywood Studios every day, all day to keep track of what's going on at Star Tours.
If you haven't already, be sure to stop by StarTours2Live.com and check out the LIVE photos from outside the attraction that are updated every 15-20 minutes! We're also posting plenty of updates on the site as well as a furious stream of Twitter and...
You've planned your WDW trip. Surely, it includes a visit to Disney's Hollywood Studios. In all your preparatory research, one attraction keeps popping up as a must-do. It's Toy Story Mania! (Toy Story Midway Mania). You quickly add this to your itinerary for the Studios - but do you know what you're in for?
What you may or may not know, is that you are not the only WDW visitors to have Toy Story Midway Mania on their to-do list. What does this mean to you? Well, saying that this attraction is busy is a huge understatement. Unless you want to have a massive line to wait in to ride, you must get to this ride early in the morning. In fact, if you neglect to get to this ride soon after park opening, you may not even be able to obtain a FASTPASS. These go very quickly!...
Voyage of the Little Mermaid has been added to the refurbishment calendar and will close temporarily on August 15, 2011 and will be closed until it re-opens on September 4, 2011.
No word on why the closure is happening, but likely it's your typical clean up, repaint and spruce up kind of rehab.
Hat tip to Stich Kingdom for alerting us to this news!
Quick update regarding the Cars 2 meet-n-greet near the exit to Muppet Vision 3D. As you know, the meet is currently closed while Imagineers update the meet area to match the upcoming release of Cars 2. The new meet area will debut on June 5, 2011.
In the meantime, you can still meet Tow Mater on the Streets of America!
I love how the Studios is all about the live shows. I think it's great, and, for me, it's one of the things that separates this park from all the others. However, am I the only one who thinks that some updating could be done? Let's take Playhouse Disney - Live On Stage!, for example...
I was so excited to hear that Playhouse Disney - Live On Stage! was undergoing a renovation this year to accomodate the new Disney Junior. Yes, the show gets updated every few years to reflect the most popular shows on Playhouse Disney's line-up, but, I thought this time, it may be a total revamp of the show, because of the network name change.
For those of you who didn't get to see the most recent Playhouse Disney - Live On Stage! edition: the main story is Mickey and the gang trying to plan a surprise party for Minnie. Tasks get delegated to Donald, Daisy and Goofy, who each have trouble coming up with ways...
