"All of Hollywood Studios that's fit to print"

After lots of rumors, it is confirmed that there will be no showings of Fantasmic! between January 5 - February 12, 2012.

This appears to be a refurbishment of Fantasmic! and February 13th should see the return of the show.

I'm pleased to welcome Cory Disbrow and Adam Hansen from WDWPhotography.com as guest bloggers here on the Hollywood Studios Blog.  They're talent for taking amazing photos is well known and they will be sharing some photos they've taken inside Disney's Hollywood Studios with you.  Keep the drooling to a minimum (or at least wipe up after yourself) and enjoy!

Hey guys! This is Cory from WDWPhotography.com. First off, I'd like to thank Matt and the entire Studios Central team for allowing us to share some space on this great site! And for our first post, I'd like to talk about how the Cast Members at my favorite WDW attraction, The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror created some serious photographic magic for me.

Comedian Sinbad, star of many television shows and films, visited Disney's Hollywood Studios last week and took some time to pose with Goofy in front of the Sorcerer's Hat.

This past weekend, Disney's Encore! kicked off it's annual charity concert, this year at Disney Hollywood Studios' Premiere Theater, located behind the San Francisco facade on the Streets of America.

Encore! is primarily a choir composed solely of Cast Members from all over Walt Disney World Property. But to call an Encore event a simple chorus concert is a vast understatement.  Encore combines music with theatrics, dance and spoken word, in a humongous production that only Disney could pull off right. If you are a fan of the Candlelight Processional, you should DEFINITELY check out Encore. This year's theme was "An American Revival", celebrating the evolution of American music and it's history through the ages. I don't want to ruin it for you, because I definitely think...

Earlier this month I tried out an idea to ask some really difficult Hollywood Studios trivia to really test our readers trivia skills.  I thought the first question was tough, but in less than a day, someone guessed the correct answer.  So let's try to see if I can stump you all again.

What is the name of the fishing ship inside Catalina Eddie's?

Good luck and be sure to post the answer in the comments below!

UPDATE: Congratulations to Billy for knowing the right answer. The answer is "Avalon".

Jennings Osborne, the man responsible for the creation of the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, has died today from complications following heart surgery performed in April in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Osborne suffered a stroke and heart attack in August 2010 and doctors decided to go ahead with surgery.

In a statement, Jennings' daughter Breeze remembered her father fondly, "My father was an amazing man who all my life showed what a big heart he had for everyone, young and old and regardless of background or wealth.  Sadly my father's big heart finally gave out. But knowing my 'Dadoo', there will be fireworks at the gates of Heaven. We want to...

I recently got a request from Studios Central fan Peter Fay to spend some time with Hollywood socialite Evie Starlight as she put her own spin on the classic Disney fairy tale, "Cinderella". The following is the hilarious result.

PS- If you are a fan of the Hoop Dee Doo Revue or Bucky Greenhorn, stay tuned through the end to get a humorous update on Evie and Bucky's relationship. You don't want to miss it!

In Private Party Venues at Disney's Hollywood Studios – Part II, we looked at event possibilities at the Great Movie Ride, The Magic of Disney Animation, Journey into Narnia: Prince Caspian and Hollywood Hideaway. Today we'll finish up our tour of the park with a look at several events on the Streets of America—including Lights, Motors, Action! and the Backstage Prop Shop—plus Pixar Place and Echo Lake. Most of these events are of the high-dollar, corporate variety, but the Prop Shop offers an economical alternative.

Pixar Place

When the park closes, the toys come alive at Pixar Place for a carnival-style party just for you! While most events at Disney's Hollywood Studios start with guests being escorted to the venue by guides, for a party at Pixar Place you can hire Sarge and the...
