Star Wars Weekends 2012 is coming up quickly and today we've gotten our first look at the merchandise for this year's event.
This year's theme for Star Wars Weekends highlights Donald as Darth Maul, which is no surprise since The Phantom Menace is being re-released in theaters in 3D.
This year will feature two posters, one like the one above and another a smaller lenticular poster which makes Donald Duck look like he is leaping off the page.
In addition there are two other merchandise items available to preview at this time.

Walt Disney World has released this press release about Star Wars Weekends 2012
Star Wars Weekends returns to the Walt Disney World Resort during May and June 2012, as Disney’s Hollywood Studios celebrates the Star Wars film saga and the hit animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
The annual special event, included in regular theme park admission, will be held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from May 18-June 10, 2012.
The power of the Force and magic of Disney combine as plenty of out-of-this-world characters – including Wookiees, droids, Ewoks, bounty hunters and Jedi – roam the streets of Disney’s Hollywood Studios for meet-and-greet opportunities with guests.
The centerpiece of the celebration is the spectacular 3-D attraction, “Star Tours – The Adventures Continue.” The attraction, which opened last...

Are you going to see the Rock the Night Fireworks Spectacular tonight at Disney's Hollywood Studios. There's definitely a best place to view them from if you want to enjoy the entire vantage point.
Don't let the name fool you, the Rock the Night Fireworks Spectacular is the same fireworks that Hollywood Studios shot off a few weeks ago for New Years Eve (minus the New Years Eve countdown), and what many guests don't know is that while a majority of the fireworks are shot off behind the Sorcerer's Hat, there are other fireworks shot off up and down Hollywood Boulevard.
Ideally, you want to stand on Hollywood Boulevard, close to the park entrance. I know it seems counter-intuitive to be far from the stage near...
Disney has announced that there will be a special fireworks show on January 19, 2012 at Disney's Hollywood Studios called, "Rock the Night Fireworks Spectacular" at 7pm.
No word on what exactly the fireworks will be compromised of, although it's likely it will be similar to the special fireworks seen on New Years Eve and July Fourth. Given the name, it wouldn't surprise us to see Mulch, Sweat and Shears be a part of the show, although that's speculation.
Keep in mind that Fantasmic! is currently under refurbishment through February 12, 2012.
UPDATE: Some attractions will close early due to the fireworks. Toy Story Midway Mania will close at 5, Great Movie Ride and One Man...

5. Comedy Warehouse to perform shows in Hollywood Studios
It's pretty recent news (as in it's still happening now), but I do think the return of Comedy Warehouse is a big deal. The downfall of Pleasure Island at Downtown Disney as a whole has been a point of contention for many Walt Disney World fans and the temporary return of the Comedy Warehouse shows has become the surprise hit of the holiday season. Let's just hope this isn't the last time we see the Comedy Warehouse gang!
