In an effort to assist Walt Disney World guests that have special dietary needs, the Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney's Hollywood Studios is experimenting with a new interactive menu that is being tested starting today.
From February 22 through 28, the new interactive menu is, "designed to provide our Guests with visibility to personalize menu choices as well as information to better guide decisions."
Guests consult the menu and a chef will come out to the table to discuss the menu, the guests' selection and the special dietary needs that are required.

The Hollywood Brown Derby has changed up its all-day menu somewhat and when any Hollywood Studios restaurant changes its menu, we like to notice what's different.
- Removed from the menu
- Spicy Sashimi-grade Tuna Tartare (appetizer)
- Cremini Mushroom Chèvre Tortelloni (appetizer)
- Madeira Braised Lamb Shank (entree)
- Andouille-crusted Prawns (entree)
- Spit-roasted Citrus Herb Marinated Half Chicken Marinated (entree)

- Price changes

Effective October 26, 2011, Walt Disney World will require guests to provide a credit card to hold a reservation at select restaurants. If the guest fails to show up for the reservation and/or does not cancel at least one day in advance, Disney World will charge a penalty of $10 per person listed on the reservation.
There are a number of Signature Restaurants and Character Dining Restaurants but this new policy affects the following restaurants in Disney's Hollywood Studios.

We posted this morning a photo update of what's new in Hollywood Studios this week and I paid special attention to look at Disney's Hollywood Studios Restaurant Dining Menus to look for changes. Sure enough, there's been a few changes to the menus since our last check so here's what's changed.
Fairfax Fare- Barbecued Pulled Pork sandwich replaced with Barbecued Pork Sandwich

Disney has announced that with the recent upgrades to their online reservation systems, guests will now be able to book special dining events straight from DisneyWorld.com/Dining . The two Disney's Hollywood Studios specific events that are now available are Dine with an Imagineer and the Fantasmic! Dinner Package.
Available on select dates, the Hollywood Brown Derby hosts Dine with an Imagineer. This special event offers guests the ability to sit, break bread, and converse about behind-the-scenes magic with a Disney Imagineer. The four-course meal also includes what Disney terms to be a "special souvenir."
