As Team Studios Central continues to grow so do our achievements.  As we move closer to our date with the Hollywood Tower of Terror Hotel and the frightful 10-Miler race event on September 29th, 2012 (sold out) members of Team Studios Central (running team) continue to train and reach new heights.  Recently, we celebrated new milestones, personal goals, and race achievements.  With the spring running season in full bloom several local races took to the forefront.  Team Studios Central runners towed the line at these races and attempted to conquer their goals of finishing the race.

At the top of the list Team SC member Chris Walthers took to the streets of downtown Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway running in the One America Mini Marathon; the largest half marathon in the country.  Chris successfully crossed the finish line to complete his first ever half marathon.  Congratulations Chris!

Next to join the list of Team SC achievers is Ashley Reeve who took to the pathways of Disney's Animal Kingdom.  Ashley successfully stood toe to toe with the Yeti and completed runDisney's Expedition Everest ChallengeWay to go Ashley!

Team SC member Ashley Reeve knows what direction she's headed as she proudly displays her Expedition Everest Challenge compass medal for completing the race and scavenger hunt.

Team member Amanda North continues to add to her impressive list of race success stories as she completed the More Magazine Women's Half Marathon in New York City's Central Park.  More than 7,200 women joined Amanda making this race the largest women's only half marathon in the country.  Great job Amanda!

Next up is Team SC member Rich Gairing who continues his running prowess.  Rich successfully finished the Run with the Cows Half Marathon in Redding, PA.  Rich also showed us his bravery by signing up for the Goofy and a Half Challenge during Walt Disney World's Marathon Weekend.  The Goofy and a Half Challenge consists of running the Disney World Half Marathon on Saturday and then running the full marathon on Sunday.  Congratulations Rich and good luck with your training leading up to Marathon Weekend!

Lastly, we want to wish Team SC runner Theresa Sheingold good luck as she races in the Geist 5K this Saturday morning, May 19th.  Also, good luck to Chris Walthers who will be running in the Geist Half Marathon just outside of Indianapolis, IN.

Fundraising Update

Team Studios Central proudly supports Give Kids the World Village of Central Florida.  We are raising money for this organization through personal running achievements, goals, and other non-running efforts.  We have currently raised $410 for the village and will soon be announcing a goal amount we wish to reach by the time the Tower of Terror 10-Miler race starts on Septemeber 29th.  You can find our official fundraising page here

Here's some motivation for training and preparing for the Tower of Terror 10-Miler; the finisher's medal.

Team Studios Central is now 19 members strong and growing.  If you wish to be a part of our team please read our Team SC introductory blog.  It outlines all of the steps you need to take to become a member.

Good luck to all of the Team Studios Central runners who are training for upcoming local races, 5Ks, The Tower of Terror 10-Miler, or Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend races.  Congratulations to all of you for working towards achieving your goals.  We are Team Studios Central running to make a difference!
