Star Tours is a thrilling motion simulator attraction based on the Star Wars films. For fans of the Star Wars films, Star Tours is sure to be the next best thing to being cast in a Star Wars film. What's great about the attraction is that it plays on a few levels. One, is for the Star Wars fans; Anyone who always wished they could hop into the cockpit of an X-Wing and show Darth Vader a thing or two or wanted to teach that rebel scum a lesson will absolutely love this ride. It's also at the same time a thrilling ride. You don't need to be well versed in Star Wars trivia or be wearing Yoda ears to enjoy this ride. Overall, Star Tours if a thrilling attraction that does an excellent job of representing the Star Wars universe.
The queue line is most impressive with lots of great detail and the ride has lots to offer. The atraction has such a large capacity to handle that waits often aren't that long and you should find wait times at Star Tours manageable throughout the day. Sometimes after a showing of Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular lets out or other rare circumstances make for longer waits than normal but if the wait is more than 20 minutes or so long, check back in again later and odds are the wait should be more manageable.
Because Star Tours is a motion simulator, it can make some guests queezy so if you are prone to motion sickness, you may want to sit this one out. If that is the case, I'd recommend still going through the queue line to enjoy the level of detail this attraction has to offer. You can also inquire into a flight where the motion simulator does not move. If the Cast members aren't too busy, they can quickly set one of the simulators to show the film without the motion so you can enjoy the film without worrying about getting sick.
Please note that Star Tours will be closing on September 8, 2010 to be replaced by Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, a brand new replacement attraction that should be open by May 2011.
